滋賀県 Shiga

由来

県章は1957年（昭和32年）5月3日の県告示第138号により制定された。県章のデザイン著作権法の規定により2008年（平成20年）1月1日よりパブリックドメインとなっている。片仮名の「シ」「ガ」を組み合わせて円形に図案化し「和」を表現すると共に内円は琵琶湖を、翼は県の飛躍を表している。

Origin

Established by prefectural notice No. 138 of May 3, 1957, and in the public domain since January 1, 2008. The katakana シ (shi) and ガ (ga) — spelling Shiga — are combined into a circular design expressing harmony; the inner circle represents Lake Biwa, and the wing-like forms the prefecture's leap forward.
