神奈川県 Kanagawa

由来

現行の県章は一般公募で寄せられた案を基にデザインされ、1948年（昭和23年）11月4日の県告示により制定された。漢字の「神」を左右対称に図案化したものである。

Origin

The current emblem, based on publicly solicited designs, was established by prefectural notice on November 4, 1948. It stylizes the kanji 神 (kami), the first character of Kanagawa, in a bilaterally symmetric form.
