新潟県 Niigata

由来

新潟の「新」の字を中心に、「ガタ」を円形に模様化した図案。融和と希望を象徴し、県勢の円滑な発展への願いが込められている。1963年（昭和38年）8月23日制定。

Origin

The kanji 新 (shin, "new"), the first character of Niigata, is placed at the center, with the katakana ガタ (gata) stylized into a circular pattern around it. The emblem symbolizes harmony and hope, carrying a wish for the smooth development of the prefecture. Adopted on August 23, 1963.
