愛媛県 Ehime

由来

福田繁雄がデザインを手掛けた。赤は太陽と県花・ミカンを、緑は石鎚山に代表される自然の恵みを、青は瀬戸内海の恩恵を表し、県民の健康で明るい未来を象徴する。平仮名の「え」を図案化した1973年制定の旧県章に代わり、1989年（平成元年）11月1日に制定された。

Origin

Designed by Shigeo Fukuda. Red represents the sun and the prefectural flower, the mikan (mandarin orange) blossom; green represents the natural blessings symbolized by Mount Ishizuchi; and blue represents the benefits of the Seto Inland Sea, together symbolizing a healthy and bright future for the prefecture's residents. It replaced the previous emblem (adopted in 1973 and based on the hiragana character え) and was adopted on November 1, 1989 (Heisei 1).
