広島県 Hiroshima

由来

県章・県旗とも1966年（昭和41年）7月16日の県告示第572号により制定された。片仮名の「ヒ」を円形に図案化し県民の和と団結を、円の重なりは県の躍進と発展を表している。

Origin

Both the emblem and flag were established by prefectural notice No. 572 of July 16, 1966. The katakana ヒ (hi), the first syllable of Hiroshima, is stylized into a circle expressing the harmony and unity of the prefecture's people, while the overlapping of the circles expresses the prefecture's advance and development.
