北海道 Hokkaido

由来

道章は北辰旗の五稜星を現代的イメージで七光星として表現し、先人の開拓者精神と雄々しく伸びる北海道の未来を表している。なお、道章に関しては道旗と異なり配色の指定は特に定められていない。

Origin

The emblem reinterprets the five-pointed star of the historic Hokushin ('North Star') flag as a modern seven-pointed star of light, expressing the pioneering spirit of Hokkaido's early settlers and the prefecture's boldly expanding future. Unlike the prefectural flag, no official coloring is specified for the emblem itself.
